BSM engages college students to follow Christ and transform the world through evangelism, discipleship, missions, leadership, and church life.
Since before 1950 BSU/BSM at UTMB, the oldest medical school west of the Mississippi has engaged in:
We need your partnership in the next stage in the ministry at UTMB. In the greater Galveston area, there are over 12,000 college students and very little Gospel presence on their campuses. We have recently acquired a building that we are renovating to be a hub for ministry to these students. Your gift to the UTMB BSM Building will impact the Galveston area with the Gospel and help send the Gospel to the ends of the earth with students as they graduate. A gift at any level will help us engage these students to follow Christ and transform the world. If you would like more information about opportunities for naming gifts, please contact [email protected].
"I left the UTMB BSM a VERY different person than when I had arrived. I learned that ministry was NOT a program, but the individual sitting in front of you. I learned that ministry was NOT about me, my feelings, my needs, but the needs of those God brought along my path. I learned that ministry was NOT about the “many” (although we had MANY at our Wednesday lunches), but the few that God had chosen on that day for me to bless and encourage in His name."
- Sunni Stockeld
"The BSM played an important role in bringing students together, making them feel welcomed, and telling them the story of Jesus. Whether it was a free lunch between classes or a host party when church services went virtual, the BSM strove to serve and show the love of Christ."
- Tim Williams
