BSM engages college students to follow Christ and transform the world through evangelism, discipleship, missions, leadership, and church life.
“And God is able to make all grace abound you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.” -2 Corinthians 9:8
The Texas Southern University Baptist Student Ministry Endowment exists to provide a long-term stream of funds for Mission trips and awarding of mission’s scholarships through the Baptist Student Ministry. This is critical to the day in which we live. We are in the age of “postmodern thought”, where there are no absolutes and everything is relative. Students need to experience through missions that Jesus is still Savior and Lord. In the African American community, many students do not have funding to go to seminary and it is a struggle to secure funding for local and global missions. The Endowment enables and assists in that process.
The Baptist Foundation of Texas manages and invests the Endowment Funds. The principle is never spent. The interest earned is distributed as follows: 70% to the BSM designated Mission Budget, 25% for mission scholarships, and 5% for fundraising and operating expenses. If you have any questions or would like more information, please let us know.
How can you participate?
